About the Group

We are going to read through a few chapters of How to be an AntiRacist, (slowly!) together, and we would love for you to join us. No matter what you know or how much time you have or have not put into learning about racial dynamics in our country, we would love for you to join us so we can learn together! We will meet on Zoom on Thursdays at 7:00 PM.

See the How to be an Anti-Racist page on our site for more information, resources about the book, and our meeting schedule. Contact Lindsay Bates for Zoom meeting information.

About the Book

“Ibram X. Kendi's concept of antiracism reenergizes and reshapes the conversation about racial justice in America--but even more fundamentally, points us toward liberating new ways of thinking about ourselves and each other. Instead of working with the policies and system we have in place, Kendi asks us to think about what an antiracist society might look like, and how we can play an active role in building it.”

In the spirit of supporting Black business owners, we recommend that you order from Uncle Bobbie’s Bookstore based in Mt. Airy. It is also available on Amazon.
