What to Expect Sunday Morning

We worship at 8:30 AM and 10:30 AM every Sunday. UDLC is a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, so make yourself at home. Each service is a little different. We joke that they are like the story of the three bears. You can try them out and find the one that feels "just right" to you. You can read about them in more detail here. Here's a helpful list of what you can expect to experience when you visit on Sunday morning from when you pull into the parking lot, getting around the church, following along in worship, and the all-important coffee bar.

Parking

We have two parking lots at the church: a large main lot right in front of the church, and a smaller lot on the side. There are handicapped parking spaces in each lot near the entrances. We are about 1.5 miles from the Ambler SEPTA station.

Coffee Bar

If you have a few minutes to spare before worship begins, stop by the coffee bar—we sometimes call this the Son Room— which also has tea and light snacks. If the weather is nice, step outside into our beautiful garden. Coffee runs all morning.

Nursery Care

Nursery care, staffed by two paid attendants, is available from 8:15AM to 11:45AM for children up through preschool.

Ways to Connect

When you arrive in your pew, you’ll see a visitor card with QR code links with information about the church, ways to get involved, and an online visitor form. You can also stay in touch through our Facebook page.

Entrance

When you enter the church through the main entrance, you’ll enter the lobby area. You’ll see people milling about, and screens and signs with church news and information about upcoming events and programs. Bathrooms are on the right.

Children

Children have a central place in worship at UDLC. Children of all ages are encouraged to take part in the service. Children talk about Bible readings with the pastor during a special children’s time as part of the 8:30 and 10:30AM service.

Children’s Church

Children’s Church is offered at both services and is a new ministry for children which we believe will meet the needs of families, accommodate their busy schedules, and will nurture faith, build relationships, provide opportunities to learn and grow and have fun together! After the Children’s Message, children grades K-5th will be escorted out of the Sanctuary and will go to the Godly Play room down the education hallway. Music

At 8:30AM, our band For the Spirit provides the music with a combination of original songs and songs taken from contemporary Christian groups like Casting Crowns and Mercy Me. At 10:30AM, we sing hymns, which are accompanied by organ and the choir. Special musical ensembles, including our kids, play and sing on various Sundays and services throughout the year.
