UDLC in the Community
As a Reconciling in Christ congregation, UDLC follows Jesus’ example of unconditional love and hospitality. We are devoted to sharing God’s grace by helping those in need. Our community-centric members thrive on collaborating with charitable organizations to support neighbors experiencing hardships.
UDLC Hurricane Ida/Tornado Response
On September 1, 2021, an EF2 tornado devastated the area, prompting our members to organize relief efforts. Our church became a hub for distributing food, clothing, and essentials, issuing over $51,000 in grants and providing mental health support. Collaborating with various organizations, we continued offering aid. On the tornado's one-year anniversary, we hosted a resource fair and interfaith service, and during the holiday season, members prepared Thanksgiving meals for those still facing financial challenges.
