Prayers of the Church, March 22, 2015

Led by Christ in our journey of repentance and moved by his compassion, let us pray for the church, those in need, and all of God’s creation.

Holy God, as we remember Jesus’s 40 day journey we also remember the journey of our lives. We know that we have not always turned away the devil’s temptations as
Jesus did. We ask your forgiveness and pray that you will continue to walk with us as every day we come closer to the
end of our journey. Lord, in your mercy.

Prayers of the Church, March 15, 2015

We thank you God for the perpetual love and forgiveness you show to us each and every day.

We ask you God to watch over our youth as they go out into the world and share your word. We ask you to help them make smart choices benefiting themselves and those around them.

Prayers of the Church, March 8, 2015

Almighty Lord, you have given us your laws to live by. We try so very hard to do right by them, but we fail daily. Yet you continue to forgive us and grant us your grace. We know we do not have to do anything to receive this loving gift. It is not easy to understand this kind of love. May we at least try to love others as you love us, Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Father of all, Lent is upon us as we journey to the cross. Help us to feel you by our side, help us to daily reflect on the selfless love that you give to us and help us to see and feel your sacrifice for us so that we may honor You in our habits, in our speech and in our choices. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Prayers of the Church, March 1, 2015

Lord God, you poured out your life on the cross for the sake of the world. Pour out your love through your church and make it a community of welcome and grace to all.

Lord in your mercy,

Hear our prayer.

Loving God, we ask your blessings for those who feel alone because of personal or professional problems or because their rights are not respected, we pray to the Lord.

Lord in your mercy,

Hear our prayer.

Prayers of the Church, February 22nd

Led by Christ in our journey of repentance and moved by his compassion, let us pray for the church, those in need, and all of God's creation. A brief silence.

1) Lord Jesus, you called us to renounce evil and we remember today in this first Sunday of Lent that you were tried and tempted by the forces of evil. You choose service instead of fame and sacrifice instead of power. You set an example to follow by choosing the way of the Father. Grant us the strength to stand up against all that is evil and keep us firm in times of trial and temptation knowing that your support and love are always close at hand. Unite your church in proclaiming that in your family all are welcome, all are beloved, all are made whole. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer..
