Prayers of the Church, June 19, 2016 - 10:30 am

Let us pray for the church, those in need, and all of God’s creation. (A brief silence.)

Gracious God, we pray for the church. Keep it faithful to you, so that your people here stand in witness to proclaim how much you have done for us in Jesus Christ. We
pray that we, your Church, be a people who listen to you with all our hearts and minds, a listening people who can receive what is good and true for our lives. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Prayers of the Church, June 19, 2016

Let us pray for the church, those in need and all of God’s creation.

Abba, Father, we pray with gratitude for the abundant gifts this church has: we have treasure, we have safety and security, we have talented and dedicated pastors and leaders, we have everything we need and so much that we want. Keep us ever mindful of these gifts so that we remain grateful instead of complacent. Make us a light shining on a hill to show your glory to our neighbors. Be with our fellow Christians in the world who cannot even imagine the luxury we are blessed with. Open our hearts and ears
to hear their cries so that we are moved and able to share our blessings. Lord in your mercy

Prayers of the Church, May 22, 2016

Rejoicing in the triune God, let us pray for the church, those in need, and all of God’s creation.

A brief silence.

1) God of heaven and earth, before the beginning of time, you were our sovereign God. How today Lord - you can be one God in three distinct persons is beyond our human understanding! By the power of your Holy Spirit, help us to embrace this amazing truth – that you our creator and Father, and Christ your loving son and your life giving Holy
spirit are equally one Living God. Glory and praise to you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Prayers of the Church, March 27, 2016

Alleluia! Christ is risen! Christ is risen indeed! Alleluia!

On this most holy day, let us pray to God for the church, the earth, and all in need, that the whole world may know the resurrection that God promises to give.

Holy Father on this day so many years ago your beloved son Jesus Christ rose to be at your side having endured a most painful death. Dying for us, for our sins. There
is no one else that loves us like this, yet at times we are forgetful, forgive us our failures. Hear us, O God.

Prayers of the Church, March 20, 2016

Hearing the call to return to the Lord, let us join the whole people of God in prayer for all who cry out in pain and in hope.

Dear God, be with all who wave palm branches, shout hosannas and walk the road to the cross. For the mission of the gospel where your church is forgotten, for disciples
wrestling with betrayal, for all who seek the Lord, let us pray. Have mercy, O God.
