Prayers of the Church, March 22, 2015

Led by Christ in our journey of repentance and moved by his compassion let us pray for the church, those in need and all of God's creation.

Let us pray for all the baptized people of God, so that strengthened by the disciplines of lent we may find life where there is death, freedom where is bondage, and light where is darkness.  Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Lord grant hope and relief to those suffering because of warfare and natural disasters, and set the minds of world leaders to work for peace and freedom for all.  Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Lord renew Upper Dublin's ministries that reach out to those that need our support and with the good news of your son's resurrection.  Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Keep us faithful as we continue our Lenten pilgrimage, that our hearts be centered on your son's death and resurrection, and our daily lives refreshed.  Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Lord, bless the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia, students, faculty and staff.  Bless its' mission to train and send out ministers to spread your word.  Give them courage and wisdom to always seek and follow your will.  Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Let us pray for those who are weakened in mind, and body and spirit, especially our sister Adele Veihl as she recovers from surgery of her broken leg.  Those on our prayer list, and those in our military, and those we lift up to you now in spoken word or silent thought.  Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
