Faith Formation for Every Adult in the Congregation with John Roberto, Public Event, Thursday, April 27th at 7:00pm

The abundance of high quality digital media for adults, and the new online and digital tools and technologies makes it possible to develop adult faith formation that engages every adult around their interests, concerns, questions, and spiritual and faith journeys. This presentation explores how to develop an adult faith formation plan for the stages of adulthood and for the diverse spiritual and religious of adults today.

John Roberto is President of LifelongFaith Associates and works as a consultant to churches and national organizations, teaches courses and conducts workshops in faith formation, and has authored books and program manuals in faith formation. His latest publications include Families at the Center of Faith Formation (editor and co-author, 2016), Seasons of Adult Faith Formation (editor and co-author, 2015), and Reimagining Faith Formation for the 21st Century (2015).

TimWengertWith the approach of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, Lutherans and others may want to know what the big deal was – and is – about Martin Luther’s theology.  

UDLC is delighted to host renown scholar, The Rev. Dr. Timothy Wengert, The Rev. Dr. Timothy Wengert, Ministerium of Pennsylvania Emeritus Professor of Church History at the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia, who will provide an overview of Martin Luther’s (and Lutheranism’s) basic teachings, such as Justification by Faith Alone, Distinguishing Law and Gospel, The Theology of the Cross, The Word and Sacraments, The Event Called Church, Christian Vocations in the World. 

This event is part of UDLC's year-long observance of the 500th anniversary of the Lutheran Reformation.
