SUNDAY SCHOOL SPECIAL PROGRAMSThe following Special Events enrich our ministries to children and youth. These events are announced through ads in church publications, flyers, etc. To view details of these events, please view our flyer.

September School Supplies Collection for children & youth in need.

Food items are collected and distributed to Organizations and churches who provide food for families in need.

Each year on Reformation Sunday, Third Grade Sunday School Students receive Bibles from our Family of faith. The students, parents, and their Bibles are blessed during worship.

Held the Sunday after Thanksgiving each year from 9 – 10 AM in Fellowship Hall.
Sunday School students make age appropriate Advent and Christmas Crafts, share songs, prayers, and a special story.

Christmas Wish lists are obtained from organizations such as Hope Gardens and Martin Luther Silver Springs School. Lists are posted and gifts collected and distributed to families and children.

ELCA World Hunger boxes and letters inviting families to share their gifts of money are distributed to Sunday School students and offered to all. Money is collected through Advent and Christmas. Filled offering boxes are presented and blessed at the altar on Epiphany Sunday and money is distributed to those in need though the World Hunger Appeal.

This special offering, coordinated by the 6th&7th grades Sunday School Class is held on Super Bowl Sunday each year. Last year they collected over $1000. to help fight hunger!

A First Holy Communion Information Gathering for students and parents is held each spring and presented by the 5th grade Sunday School Class, teachers, and a Pastor. Group First Holy Communion is celebrated the last Sunday of Sunday School each year.

We Celebrate New Connections with Teach for America as our Sunday School students become acquainted with Mr. Matthew Crooke and his 6th grade Teach for America class! We’ll get to learn more about each other and the good work of Teach for America. And, we’ll have some opportunities to share how YOU can help this great program for children and youth! Watch for more news about how you can help make a difference in the lives of these children & youth.
