SKI Weekend 2008
Feb 9 -10 UDLC GOES TO GIG | EVERY SUNDAY 6:30 PM - 9PM
Gloria Dei, Huntington Valley
We will carpool over the 3rd Sunday of each Month.
2008: April 6, May 18, June 15 | 30 Hour Famine | April 26th 9 AM This event will raise awareness and funds for local, national, and world wide hunger appeals. Youth will take part in service projects, talk about hunger issues, and spend 30 hours expierencing a bit of what those who go hungery ever day expierence.
Particpants Need:
* To be over in 8th - 12th Grades * Stop eating @ 4 AM on Saturday - 10 AM Sunday (we can accomodate those with medical issues) * Asked commit to raising a minimum of $150 in Pledges from family, friends, and neighbors. * Consume only Water, Juice, Coffee, and T * Be willing to take a step out of their basic comfort zone ea * Take part in discussions, service projects, and have parental permission
* Bring canned food to donate to food cupboard
* Bring Juice to share, but please avoid Apple Juice due to natural laxitive properties.
| | Chosen 300 Walk Against Hunger | CHOSEN 300 5 MILE WALK AGAINST HOMELESSNESS Sat. April 19, 2008; 9AM A few of people had expressed interest in walking as a group for Chosen 300 Walk against hunger. It will be a great chance to get out in the spring air while also helping raise money for a local UDLC sponsored program.
