|
|
Upper Dublin Lutheran Church teaches that our God, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit: - has created and is sustaining all that exists.
- is revealed to us in the Holy Bible, the living word by which God confronts each of us to be transformed to a new life, with new values and new commitment.
- has entered human history in the crucified and risen Savior, Jesus of Nazareth, redeeming us from sin and restoring us to a relationship of love and trust with God so that we might know we are loved, forgiven, saved and empowered by God's grace alone.
- works through the church for the redemption of creation by the power of the Holy Spirit;
- changes lives through the Gospel of Jesus Christ calling Christians to lives of:
- discipleship
- welcome and witness to all no matter where they are on life's journey of faith
- sharing of God’s gifts that all might be nurtured
- practicing compassion and justice as signs of Christ's presence in the world.
- has provided a foundation for ministry in the historical witness of the Christian church - especially in the ecumenical creeds and the Lutheran Confession.
